Solar energy can be used in buildings as passive solar heat gains, daylighting or through active solar energy systems (solar thermal panels or photovoltaics) to produce warm water or electricity. This presentation will provide an overview of some of the work achieved at Lund University (LTH) on solar energy in buildings, covering about 20 years of research encompassing research on solar shading, on the integration of active solar energy systems, on daylighting in the context of densifying cities, etc.
