Mikrobiologi
Mikrobiologi är läran om mikroorganismer, till exempel bakterier, svampar och virus.
Bakterier tillhör den prokaryota grenen, medan svampar tillhör de eukaryota organismerna. Virus är i strikt mening inte levande och kan därför inte passas in i någon av organismvärldens tre grenar.
