Program

  • To work and conduct research under uncertain conditions - Anneli Eriksson, Karolinska Institutet. Which are the risks in different contexts – conflicts, political instability, infections etc? What could I do to be better prepared? Anneli is involved in the "Societies at Risk" research project together with UU on how societies are impacted by conflicts. Anneli also has a background as the former President of Médecins Sans Frontières, Sweden.
  • Experience from working in high risk settings  - Sten Hagberg, Uppsala University. Sten will share his experience from working in high risk settings and brings insights from long-term ethnographic research conducted in countries such as Mali and Burkina Faso.
  • As Sten Hagberg is Director at the Forum for Africa Studies at Uppsala University, we will also discuss the potential for strengthening collaboration between SLU and the Forum for Africa Studies.
  • Networking and discussions around today’s topic.
