Webbinarium: digital storytelling

Michele Curtis and Chris Walker share their parallel experiences of helping individuals and communities to tell their story. Two positive and forward-looking stories that consider how choruses of voices collect around two story centres - The Seven Saints of St Pauls: Memorials and Black Joy in Bristol, and a recent project involving the capture of the life story of American musician Nile Rodgers.

Chris will share his experience of working within a research team that collected questions for Nile from the public, then filmed him answering them, then created a VR experience allowing visitors to interact with Nile, regardless of their level of familiarity with him.

Part One - Michele - 20 mins presentation, 10 mins questions
Part Two - Chris - 20 mins presentation, 10 mins questions
Part Three - 30 minutes contrast, comparison and translatable heritage interpretation practice
