Longer workshop

13:00-14:50

Sustainable studies. From roll call to graduation and beyond: how can we integrate relevant support for our students in the curriculum? (IN ENGLISH)

Hall Skara in Ulls hus at floor 3

In both a national and international context, we see how mental ill health is increasing amongst university students. A constantly changing job market also requires the students to, apart from learning their chosen subject/field, learn career management skills. In local SLU student surveys, we see how the students are worried about not having sufficient study techniques as well as expressing issues about stress. In this workshop we invite you to discuss and share ideas on how SLU can move towards a more holistic university approach.

Workshop leaders:

  • Katarina Böhme Evengård, 1st librarian, SLU Library
  • Cecilia Esbjörnsson, study councellor, Division of Educational Affairs, SLU
  • Jonas Petersson, librarian, SLU Library
  • Maria Wiklund, language coordinator, SLU Library

Shorter workshops/seminars with three parallel tracks

13:00-13:50

Track 1. How the education systems talk to each other (IN SWEDISH)

Hall K in Teaching building (Undervisningshuset)

A common purpose of making systems talk to each other is to minimize administration and double registration and thereby reduce the risk of errors. An equally important purpose is to improve the user experience. An example of an improved user experience could be to gather access to different functions in places that are logical for the purpose. With the help of the content in Canvas templates, the ambition is to collect access to other resources and thereby contribute to an improved user experience.

Presenters:

  • Helen Alstergren, head of unit, Unit for educational systems and media, Division of learning and digitalisation, SLU
  • Claes Hellberg, system specialist, Unit for educational systems and media, Division of learning and digitalisation, SLU
