Welcoming new students on 31 August

1. A welcome ceremony 

One of SLU's Vice-Chancellors will be present and give a welcome speech during the welcome ceremonies in Alnarp, Ultuna and Umeå. A detailed program for the ceremony will be published later.

Coffee and questions

Students attending the welcome ceremonies in Alnarp, Ultuna, and Umeå will be offered coffee, and study counsellors will be available outside the venues where the ceremonies are held to answer questions.

Times for coffee and questions:

  • Alnarp: 09:15–11:15
  • Ultuna: 08:00–13:00
  • Umeå: 09:15–11:15

Below you will find times for the program specific roll-calls, click on the campus names below for times and room allocation.

Please note that the room allocation is still preliminary and can be changed. Do not mention a specific room in your welcome letters or course schedule, instead refer students to the new student pages. This makes things easier should we need to change something.

Attending roll-call is compulsory

Attending roll-call is compulsory for all newly admitted programme students. Compulsory attendance at digital roll-calls applies to students admitted to distance learning programmes.

Exceptions are possible if a student has special reasons for not attending. Students who cannot attend and have special reasons must inform SLU of this by emailing antagning@slu.se no later than 09.00 on 31 August. Students who remain at home for special reasons are also encouraged to contact their programme director of studies.
