African Swine Fever

African swine fever has been detected in a sample from a dead wild boar found in Fagersta municipality, Västmanland County. SLU is requesting that all students and staff in the affected area carefully follow the instructions issued by the Swedish Board of Agriculture and keep themselves updated on developments.

Vårt SLU: Strengthening climate change resilience in the African continent

Together with African universities and researchers, the department of forest economics at SLU works with projects on the role of forests for sustainable development in Africa, especially in terms of climate change.

Francisco engages in conversation about how climate change is affecting cocoa socio-ecological systems with Charles King (Liberian Central Agricultural Research Institute) and Julie Weah (Foundation for Community Initiatives) in Ivory Coast. The visit was sponsored by a FORMAS international network for the SDGs grant.
