Sustainable studies. From roll call to graduation and beyond: how can we integrate relevant support for our students in the curriculum? (IN ENGLISH)
Hall Skara in Ulls hus at floor 3
In both a national and international context, we see how mental ill health is increasing amongst university students. A constantly changing job market also requires the students to, apart from learning their chosen subject/field, learn career management skills. In local SLU student surveys, we see how the students are worried about not having sufficient study techniques as well as expressing issues about stress. In this workshop we invite you to discuss and share ideas on how SLU can move towards a more holistic university approach.

Track 1. How the education systems talk to each other (IN SWEDISH)
Hall K in Teaching building (Undervisningshuset)
A common purpose of making systems talk to each other is to minimize administration and double registration and thereby reduce the risk of errors. An equally important purpose is to improve the user experience. An example of an improved user experience could be to gather access to different functions in places that are logical for the purpose. With the help of the content in Canvas templates, the ambition is to collect access to other resources and thereby contribute to an improved user experience.

Track 3. An inclusive curriculum design (IN ENGLISH)
Hall O1 in Teaching building (Undervisningshuset)
What do we mean when we say that higher education should be inclusive - what does that mean, more concretely, for us as teachers? Welcome to a session where we will discuss ways to answer this question based upon our experiences developing and teaching the pilot higher education pedagogy course ”An inclusive university”.
Track 1. Pedagogical digital competence: presentation of the results from a survey at SLU (IN SWEDISH)
What are the results from the survey of pedagogical digital competence that was distributed to SLU teaching staff in September 2022? The main findings will be presented. This will be an opportunity to exchange experiences about teachers’ needs further support on the development of their pedagogical digital competences. Further, current challenges and benefits with AI will be discussed.

Track 2. Compulsory elements in teaching: learning activity and/or examination? (IN SWEDISH)
Hall O1 in Teaching building (Undervisningshuset)
After a short presentation around different types of obligations, we gather in smaller groups to share our own good examples and challenges. Some questions that may come up for discussion: What type of knowledge do I want to train/assess? When does a learning activity become an examination? What will be the consequences for the student? The workshop ends with a review of the good examples.

Track 3. Increased number of students in Bachelor and Master thesis courses – an opportunity to learn more and decrease workload (IN ENGLISH)
Hall N in Teaching building (Undervisningshuset)
Welcome to exchange experiences on how to design bachelor thesis courses. We will discuss ways to use peer learning, group supervision, working in pairs, assessment groups and other ways to support student writing and equal assessment. Different approaches may be beneficial for students, supervisors and examinators.
