Episode 22

Welcome to another exciting episode of Edutalks.

This episode of EDUtalks explores the benefits and challenges of teaching critical thinking in higher education from the perspectives of SLU teacher György Ängelkott Bocz and Educational Developer Alexandra D’Urso. The idea for this episode came about when discussing perspectives on course literature and assignments in the EPU course “Educating for critical thinking and criticality”.

During the conversation, we consider how different educational norms, traditions, and environments can impact the possibilities of supporting the teaching of critical thinking. We also reflect upon the different conditions that might support or challenge the possibility to practice, develop, and teach critical thinking, both inside and outside of the university.

Participants:

  • Alexandra D’Urso: Educational developer at SLU
  • György Ängelkott Bocz, entreprenör och adjunkt vid Institutionen för biosystem och teknologi, SLU Alnarp
