Workshop for ‘Distinguished Teachers’

Navigating Uncertainty in Education

Room: -

In English

Guest speaker: Maha Bali: Professor of Practice at the Center for Learning and Teaching, American University in Cairo.

Welcome to an engaging and interactive workshop where we will explore how to navigate uncertainty in education! In small groups, we will discuss potential future scenarios that may affect our teaching – such as rapid societal changes or emerging needs among students.

You will have the opportunity to try out tools and methods that support understanding of complexity and unpredictability. We will place particular emphasis on how to promote social justice and inclusion, even in times of change. The workshop offers both new perspectives and practical ideas for how you can address these issues in your own teaching. It is suitable for anyone curious about developing their approach and finding shared solutions.

The workshop will use participatory methods such as Conversation Café, Ecocycle Planning, and the Uncertainty Matrixto actively engage everyone in the room. A break of 20–30 minutes is included.

Please note: This session is open only to ‘Distinguished Teachers’.
