Episode 20 - Courage, failure, and lifelong learning in entrepreneurship

Episode 20
Welcome to another exciting episode of Edutalks.
SLU is a university that attracts students from all corners of the world, and our students pursue different careers after completing their degrees. In this episode, Educational Developer Alexandra D’Urso has a conversation with author, entrepreneur and digital events project manager Cathy Xiao Chen, who came to Sweden as an exchange student from Australia and took courses at SLU and Uppsala University as part of her degree in Food Sustainability. We explore how teachers can support students with different interests and backgrounds, what kinds of support and pedagogical methods support students’ creativity and lifelong learning, and how it’s helpful to not only be courageous but also embrace failure when pursuing a career as an entrepreneur.
Participants:
- Alexandra D’Urso: Educational developer at SLU
- Cathy Xiao Chen: Digital Events Project Manager / Author of "How To Create Successful Events To Grow Your Brand" / Creator of The Business Event Canvas™ / Event Photographer
