Exam Services

Exam Services (ES) is appointed to create a joint, legally certain and equal examination process for on-campus exams. At present, ES are situated at SLU's main campuses: Alnarp, Umeå and Uppsala. Below, you will find more information on how ES administers and runs on-campus exams, organised by location.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions

1. Is late registration for a student allowed?

NO! Once the activity session in Ladok has been closed, no additional students can be registered.

2. Can I order an exam during the semester?

Yes. We process all orders made during the preceding booking period and schedule exams based on availability in the exam halls.

3. Does Exam Services have any information available to students?

Yes. Please feel free to contact us and book an on-campus or digital run-through for the students. On the links below, you will find more information for students that you can publish on your course page.

4. What do I need to tell my students before the on-campus exam?

Exam Services has a page on the student website with pertinent information for the students. 

5. Is it possible to have overarching digital on-campus exams in multiple locations?

No, at present, digital on-campus exams are only available in Alnarp and Ultuna. At campus Ultuna, we have dedicated exam halls, and at campus Alnarp, digital on-campus exams are held in collaboration with Malmö University.

6. Is it possible to hold a traditional written exam in multiple locations?

Regarding SLU's main campuses, Alnarp, Umeå and Uppsala, yes. Please read more under On-campus exams in multiple locations.

7. Why do I need to add more than one date for the exam in my order?

Since multiple courses wish to have their exams on the same date/time, Exam Services needs an alternative date/time to schedule all ordered exams as seamlessly as possible.

8. Why do I have to appoint an Admin in the order in TE Exam?

You need a separate Admin to ensure students' anonymity and to manage the Inspera administration.

9. How to students register aids?

Students can register their desired aids in the activity session in Ladok. The student can only choose from the aids recommended for exams via Nais.

10. When is the deadline for exam orders?

Exam Services must receive the order no later than 15th May and 15th November, respectively. Exam Services handles orders received during the semester, depending on room availability and provided that the order is received no later than 15 workdays prior to the exam date.
