Welcome to SLU’s 2026 Education Conference with the theme "Education in practice"
SLU's degree programmes are mostly professional or vocational educations that address issues that are central to society. We educate our students so that they can work in and develop the vocation and the world they enter after graduation. A solid theoretical and scientific foundation in degree programs is important, but equally important are practical knowledge and concrete practical experience. This year's education conference deals with practical knowledge from two different perspectives: firstly, how we develop the practical knowledge that our students need to acquire, but also how we develop our own practice as university teachers.
In addition to presentations by our keynote speakers, there will be plenty of occasions for conference participants to share experiences and exchange ideas with each other. Several parallel thematic sessions (in Swedish or English) with presentations, workshops, and posters will give you the opportunity to delve into something that piques your curiosity.

20–21 August 2026. The conference starts with our first keynote speaker on 20 August at 13:00.

Campus Ultuna in Uppsala.

Target audience
This internal conference is open to all SLU teaching staff and SLU employees engaged in or interested in educational issues at undergraduate and advanced levels are warmly invited to participate. SLU student representatives are also encouraged to attend.
