This course gives an introduction to image analysis for application in forest sciences. The course covers basic concepts and techniques in images analysis and the students apply their new skills to solve an image analysis task in a project.

*The objective of the course is to give an introduction to image analysis suitable for research in forest sciences. On completion of the course, the student will be able to: *

- *apply basic filters (e.g., mean or median) to images *
- *perform histogram processing of images *
- *apply morphological filters to images *
- *perform basic image segmentation *
