The Ordinance of higher education and the Higher education act (links to government pages in Swedish)
The Ordinance of higher education (1993:100) supplements the Higher education act. The former is decided by the government and hence subordinate to the higher education act, decided by the parliament. The ordinance is only applicable to bodies controlled by the government. Most information relevant for PhD studies is found in the fifth chapter.
In the documents below the general and subject specific eligibility criteria can be found. Also found in these documents are course load requirements and mandatory courses for each subject.
