Language support

SLU's language function offers various types of support for admin staff producing text.

Translation and language revision. Shorter texts for in-house use, with all or most of SLU as the intended target group, can usually be translated in-house. For any other translation and revision needs, there is a government framework contract. Read more on the pages on translation and language revision.

Presentations on plain language. As a public authority, we are obliged to use a language that is clear, comprehensible and adapted to the needs of the target group - this is the definition of plain language. Why not book a presentation on plain language for a department/unit meeting?

Writing workshops. If you prefer something more hands-on, book a workshop. We analyse sample texts, preferably the participants' own, and discuss how to make them more accessible. Suitable group size 4-8 persons.
