Drylands Transform soon at Agri4D

Drylands Transform will soon have two oral presentations at the Agri4D conference on 28-30th of September 2021.

First on the 29th of September Stephen Mureithi will present on the topic of "Livestock Cafés; experimental research and co-learning hubs in Dryland Transform". And on the 30th of September at 11.30, Ingrid Öborn and Aida Bargues Tobella will have a presentation on "Restoring drylands for nutrition and health of humans and livestock" showing some results from the first data collection in the project.

DevRes 2021 conference

Earlier in 2021, the project was well represented in the Swedish Development Research conference (DevRes 2021) where several of the researchers involved in Drylands Transform appeared in different sessions that are still available online at: https://devres2021.coeo.events/.

Aida Göran, Per and Ingrid were for example hosting sessions in the conference. Per Knutsson, Gert Nyberg, Ewa Wredle and Stephen Mureithi were presenting in the session of “Sustainable dryland development for livestock keepers in sub-Saharan Africa”. Aida Bargues Tobella and Leigh Ann Winowiecki presented in the session of “Transformative Forest and Landscape Restoration to achieve the SDGs – Research, theory and practice”.

Gert Nyberg were presenting in the session “Transformative Forest and Landscape Restoration to achieve the SDGs – Research, theory and practice”. Göran Bostedt had a poster with the topic of “Saving for Dry, not Rainy Days - Saving and Borrowing Behaviour among Agropastoralists in West Pokot County, Kenya”.
