Lectures by SLU´s senior environmental assessment specialists

In the autumn of 2020, SLU´s vice-chancellor appointed our first senior environmental assessment specialists. On 11–12 May, they will share their expertise at popular science lectures, open to everyone – feel free to attend!

The lectures will be live-streamed via SLU's Youtube channel. No pre-registration is required. You find links to the broadcasts at the lectures web page.

More information about the lectures is available in the Swedish version of this calendar item, as all lectures will be held in Swedish, this year.

Speakers and titles

11 May

  • 1 p.m. (13:00). Jonas Fridman, Research Group Leader at the Department of Forest Resource Management. Title: Official statistics from the Swedish National Forest Inventory at SLU – a common denominator in the polarised debate about forests?
  • 2 p.m. (14:00). Lars Sonesten, Researcher at the Department of Aquatic Sciences and Assessment. Title: Reduced eutrophication requires knowledge from source to sea.

12 May

  • 9 a.m. (09:00). Johan Dannewitz, Researcher at the Department of Aquatic Resources. Title: Managing the salmon stocks of the Baltic Sea - How hard can it be?
  • 10 a.m. (10:00). Katarina Kyllmar, Research Group Leader at the Department of Soil and Environment. Title: Environmental measures in agriculture is monitored by SLU.
