Seed money interdisciplinary and thematic research projects

Purpose

The purpose of the initiative is to develop and strengthen the quality of the research, and at the same time contribute to develop the quality of the educational activities. The purpose is also to meet new knowledge needs and increase the external research funding by identifying project ideas and synergies across the departments.

The initiative should lead to successful larger externally funded research projects in line with the strategies of the faculty and departments.

Thematic focuses

To further strengthen the link to the strategies at SLU and LTV, this year’s seed money call will have two thematic focuses:

• The next step for sustainable development
• Digitalisation and technology

The applications should be interdisciplinary and apply a system perspective approach. 

Amount

The aim is to finance up to four seed money applications with up to SEK 500 000 each.
