Sofia Wilhelmsson

I defended my thesis called "There's no time to rush! - pigs’ and transport drivers’ welfare and interactions during slaughter transport" in June 2022. It was a multidisciplinary research project made in colaboration with e.g. researchers at the University of Melbourne and Lund university. My thesis covered aspects such as working environment, physical workload, handling methods, the effects of a training intervention, pig behaviour and interactions between driver and pigs during slaughter transportation. I have previously worked with research about e.g. animal welfare in organic broiler production.
