Research
My research program 'AquaDrugs' at SLU harnesses cutting-edge experimental tools to identify whether and how emerging chemical pollutants in the environment induce behavioural changes in wildlife that lead to higher-order ecosystem impacts. For example, in the laboratory, I am using artificial intelligence systems to detail how chemical pollutants affect individual and collective behaviours in fish. In the field, I am using remote underwater animal monitoring systems (e.g. acoustic telemetry) and targeted exposure implants to track multiple fish species and determine how exposure to contaminant mixtures affect ecological interactions.
