How do you communicate for impact outside academia?

Join a meeting with SLU's Global Network to learn about how you can communicate your research results outside academia.

Agenda

  • Increasing the use of research in Swedish development policy and practice. Janet Vähämäki, Programme Director at SweDev, presents a report which is based on a survey and focus-group discussions with key practitioners and policymakers in Sweden, and assesses how they perceive and use research-based knowledge.
  • How do you communicate to reach people outside academia? – a discussion with Natasha Joseph, editor at The Conversation Africa. The Conversation Africa publishes news from the research community, written by academic experts in collaboration with professional journalists, in a way that is accessible to non-specialists.

During the meeting, there will also be time for networking and discussions with your colleagues.

Welcome!

Katarina Börling and Malin Planting, SLU Global
