Here you can subscribe to Animal Research News and read previous newsletters (in Swedish).

What do we need?

Note! Animal Research News is published in Swedish. Please contact us well in advance if you need help translating your text from English to Swedish.

  • A compelling headline suggestion (maximum 110 characters, including spaces)

  • A popular science summary of around 1,500 characters, including spaces

  • A link to the publication (and a full reference for subscribers who need to access the article through a library)

  • Information about funding bodies, if relevant

  • Name(s) of contact person(s)

  • Images that illustrate the text, if available. Preferably landscape format and as high resolution as possible. Please send images as separate files rather than embedded in the text document. Include the photographer/creator’s name and make sure the image may be published in the newsletter and SLU’s channels.

  • State whether and how you used generative AI to produce text or images. Read more in SLU’s guidance on AI in images and video and Advice on using AI services at work.

What can be published?

  • Short news items about published research articles from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science

  • The research must recently have been published in an international peer-reviewed journal

  • Earliest stage in the publication process: e-publication ahead of print

  • Latest stage in the publication process: within four months of publication date

Are you an equine researcher? Your work can also be shared through HästSverige

Texts about horses are also published on the knowledge platform HästSverige and in its social media channels, helping research reach those who are directly affected.

Would you like to share more of your research — whether newly published or historically important — through HästSverige? Contact the editor at SLU via info@hastsverige.se.

The text has been translated with AI and fact checked.
