Election to the faculty board 2024 – VH faculty

Between October 21 and 29, the election to the VH faculty board for the period 2025-2027 took place. Of the 282 eligible voters, 175 people voted, which is 62 percent. 3 votes were blank. 

The new boards will take office on January 1st 2025. The election of the dean and deputy dean is advisory and the vice-chancellor is expected to make the final decision on 6 November. With that reservation, VH's voting has decided that the upcoming faculty board at the VH faculty for the next three years will look as follows: 

Chair/dean: Professor Nils Fall

Vice chair/deputy dean: Senior lecturer Anna Wallenbeck

The number of votes in the election determines who will become regular members and deputies in the faculty board.

Timeline for election of the faculty board at VH:

June 17-August 23

Nomination period 1. Those entitled to vote at the VH faculty are invited to nominate candidates for the faculty board.

September 23

The election committee presents its proposal to those entitled to vote.

September 23-October 8

Nomination period 2. Those entitled to vote at VH-fak are invited to nominate additional candidates in addition to the selection committee's proposal.

October 21-29

Election period.

Hearing 23 October

The candidates will present themselves at a digital hearing on 23 October at 12.30-14.30.

1 November

The vice-chancellor appoints the dean and deputy dean. Election results are presented.

Responsibilities of the Nominating Committee

The primary task of a faculty's nominating committee is to propose members, including the dean and deputy dean, as well as two deputies to the faculty board. Additionally, three members are appointed by Sluss.
