Riccardo Bommarco is Professor in Agricultural Entomology at the Department of Ecology and Chair of the Plant Protection Platform at SLU. His research focuses on insect and plant ecology in agricultural landscape, with a strong focus on ecosystem services such as biological control and pollination. He is involved in national and international extension in the agricultural sector and gives support to producers, industry and authorities in the field of plant protection.
I explore how crop production and land use in agriuclture affect the distribution, abundance dynamics of biodiversity. I focus on insects and other arthropods that provide ecosystem services, in particularl plant protection, biological control of agricultural pest insects, and pollination.
