Let's talk science! is a seminar series inititated by the Faculty of forest sciences to invigorate the scientific conversation within SLU. The Departement of forest resource management will organize the seminar on this date.
Several long-term forecasts of the growth of Swedish forests indicate increases due to climate change. On the other hand, the recent trend as observed in the Swedish National Forest Inventory has been decreasing growth. During this seminar, experts in the area will tell what we know, what we do not know, and what remains to be investigated.
Cornelia Roberge, head of the NFI, and Jonas Fridman, researcher at the department of forest resource management, will start with a brief introduction, followed by a panel discussion with Urban Nilsson, professor in silviculture, Göran Ståhl, professor in forest monitoring and Torgny Näsholm, professor in tree ecophysiology and the members of the audience are invited to participate.
Collegues at the Ultuna, Alnarp and Skinnskatteberg Campus will be able to take part from the conference rooms Silvicum, Marken at MVM centre and a conference room at Skogsmästarskolan.
