GASL webinar: Antimicrobial use in livestock – the high-scale producers’ and international organizations’ perspective

The Action Network Livestock Antimicrobial Partnership of the Global Agenda for Sustainable Livestock will hold a panel discussion about the high scale producers’ and international organizations’ perspective on antimicrobial use in livestock.

The emergence of antimicrobial resistance is a global threat to human health and livestock health, welfare and productivity. Refinement and reduction of antimicrobial use are key measures to curb the emergence of the resistance. In this webinar we will discuss challenges, opportunities and actions taken in the high-end of livestock production with four member organizations of GASL - Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef, International Poultry Council, International Meat Secretariate and International Dairy Federation – in a roundtable format where also the on-line audience is invited to comment electronically.

The event will take place on 05.09.2022 at 14:00 Rome time. To attend register here.

Broadcast available here.

The Livestock Antimicrobial Partnership (LAMP) is an action network that works with tackling microbial resistance by drawing on practical experience and knowledge from its partners in different parts of the world.

The secretariat is placed at SLU Global in Uppsala, Sweden.
