Zoom Webinar for dissertations

Zoom Webinar works like a regular Zoom Meeting, with the addition that you can spread a link for the audience (attendees). Suitable for dissertations, larger meetings and seminars where spectators must participate and watch/listen but do not have to participate and present.

Apply for a webinar license by filling in AV-supports form:
Order a webinar license - SLU Self-service

You can then book a webinar from https://slu-se.zoom.us/ with your SLU zoom account.

For information on how to book, make settings and invite to the webinar:

We recommend an administrator/assistant to host the webinar and participate with the Zoom client from their laptop (with sound and image so that there is no round in the hall). Tools for managing the meeting (participants, attendees, chats, etc.) are available in the client on the computer - these are limited in the room's video conferencing system.

The host also needs to connect to the webinar before everyone else as the "Join before host" function is not available in the Webinar.

If you want the webinar to be recorded and then uploaded to Canvas or SLU-play, you must record it yourself via a client on a laptop.

The file can then be sent to us using OneDrive (https://internt.slu.se/nyheter-originalen/2019/9/office-365-for-anstallda-och-verksamma/) or other file sharing service.
