At SLU, there are a number of graduate schools run by each faculty. At the NJ faculty, there are currently seven graduate schools. SLU's board will, according to information, decide on investing in graduate schools and that these will be included in the regular activities.

The new investment applies until further notice from the spring of 2022 and tentatively covers SEK 5 million per year, including the NJ faculty's co-financing. The existing research schools must submit an application for the planned activities for the next four years by 6 December.

Proposals for new research schools are also welcome. These must do the same application procedure. The graduate schools that are awarded funding will receive the assignment for the time being, but planning and budget will still be required over four-year cycles.

The applications will be reviewed by the Postgraduate Board (NJ-Fun). It then takes a position on which graduate schools should be run and submits proposals to the faculty board, which makes the final decision.
