Erik Steen Jensen retires

After a long and successful career, Professor Erik Steen Jensen retires, his last working day at SLU was 30 April.

Erik was recruited to the position as Professor in Agricultural Sciences at SLU in Alnarp in 2009, at the Department of Agriculture, and has since then performed research and teaching in many aspects of sustainable agriculture and agroecology. Both in his earlier career and during his employment at SLU, Erik’s work has generated knowledge for the development of environmentally, economically and socially sustainable cropping systems, with a special focus on crop diversification and increased cultivation of legumes.

Erik is appointed Professor Emeritus at SLU, Department of Biosystems and Technology. An official acknowledgement seminar will be organized when it is again possible to arrange events with many participants..

We thank Erik for his important contributions to the development of knowledge for sustainable food production, and wish him best of luck and pleasure in his post-retirement life!
