I work with environment monitoring in grasslands, wetlands and along power lines. The aim is to describe habitat status and monitor spatial and temporal changes in the Swedish landscape. Among others I work in collaboration with the County Administrative Board (Länsstyreslen), the Environmental Protection Agency (Naturvårdverket), and the Swedish Board of Agriculture (Jordbruksverket).
I work as part of a group together with: Anders Glimskär (researcher), Matthew Hiron (researcher), Anders Björkén (environmental assessment analyst), Assar Lundin (environmental assessment analyst), and Merit Kindström (environmental assessment analyst).
I have a PhD in Plant Ecology and Evolution, which I defended at Uppsala University. My project goal was to better understand how populations of the same plant species can adapt to their local enviromnent, a phenomenon known as local adaptation.
I obtained two awards for my PhD thesis: the Lars Hennig award for the best thesis in Plant Biology 2021 from the Linnean Centre, and the award for outstanding doctoral thesis in Plant Geography and Plant Ecology from the Swedish Phytogeographical Society.
