Admas Alemu Abebe

Admas Alemu Abebe
I am a postdoctoral researcher at the department of plant breeding, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. I am working on the genetics and genomics of cereal crops for disease resistance.


I am involved in research projects targeting identifying QTLs/genes via genome-wide association analysis, QTL mapping and genomic selection for resistance to various diseases and other critical agronomic traits in cereal crops. Through application of high-throughput genotyping and phenotyping platforms, molecular markers are detected and used for for selection in cereal crops breeding resistant to diseases including septoria, rust and powdery mildew.
