Welcome to a webinar where results from the research project SIREN will be presented. SIREN has inventoried indicator systems for assessing soil quality and ecosystem services.
Across several European countries, SIREN has inventoried various indicator systems for evaluating soil quality and ecosystem services in agriculture. The project has developed a framework that connects soil quality and ecosystem services both conceptually and methodologically, and also produced a list of policy-relevant indicators regarding soil quality.
SIREN has been led by Wageningen University together with SLU and INRAE (National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment), and carried out within the the EU program EJP Soil, which funds research for sustainable and climate-smart agriculture.
