Records management

Last changed: 07 March 2024

SLU's classification structure for records is based on guidelines from the National Archives. It is used by all units and levels of administration at SLU.

Records management consists of several components, including a content description, an archival registry and process documentation for various aspects of our operations.

Each operational process generates different types of records, and these are classified according to the structure SLU KS 2013:1-1 which lists all types of records. All records are filed under the process they belong to.

The classification structure is the same for all SLU archives, but records are only registered by one of the units responsible for registry and archives. There are currently 41 units with this role.

Each unit with a registry and archival role establishes its own content description and archival inventory.
