In our agreement with software vendors such as Adobe and Microsoft, we need to know how many are using the various programs on campus.
In order to handle this, a special inventory program must be installed on all SLU-owned computers (Mac and PC). The program inventories the software which is installed on the computer and stores this information in a database managed by the IT department.
This database is only accessible by license manager, IT Manager, Head of IT Support and IT Security Officer. The information provided to vendors is only a summary of how many copies of a software installed on the computers. No individual user can be identified
