This accreditation means that veterinarians trained with us, who graduate from 2024 onwards, are eligible for authorisation to work in Australia and New Zealand.

On 7th August we received the happy news that our veterinary programme is accredited by The Australasian Veterinary Boards Council (AVBC).

-        I recognize that this milestone has been reached through the concerted effort of many people at Swedish University and the kind cooperation of our colleagues at EAEVE, says Julie Strous, Executive Director at AVBC.

The accreditation process began a year ago and the work has since run parallel to a European accreditation process.

- This is historic and I would like to pay tribute to everyone who has contributed, says Rauni Niskanen, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science. The announcement is significant for our operations and our international reputation.

The accreditation is valid for 7 years, after which a new evaluation will be carried out.
