Facts:
The SLU Board of Education Board, established on 1 January 2014, is a university-wide body that deals with strategic issues to support, coordinate, stimulate and develop all SLU education at the undergraduate and Master's level.
The board also assigns tasks to program boards, approves programme syllabuses and guidelines and prepares decisions for the vice-chancellor and the SLU Board.
The Board of Education consists of a chair appointed by the vice-chancellor, five teachers appointed by the vice-chancellor following a proposal from the election committee, an external member appointed by the vice-chancellor after consultation with the faculty deans and three members appointed by SLU's students' unions (Sluss).
The board is currently chaired by the deputy vice-chancellor (prorektor), who will remain chair also for the next term of office. A full description can be found in Section 7 of the SLU Board's delegation of authority (appendix 1).
The vice-chancellor has approved the criteria for the composition of the Board of Education for the 2025-2027 term of office (appendix 2).
