The Winners in The Great SLU House Umeå Bakeoff 2023 are designated!

Our gingerbread baking competition for students and employees in the SLU building in Umeå is now finalized. The Winners 2023 has been designated: Laura Saggiomo and Faith Jones with their contribution “Tomtars Winter Forest Getaway"- and the motivation from the jury is the following: "The contribution breathes creative joy, is inventive and imaginative with lots of fairytale atmosphere. The bakers have used props in creative ways, such as a fire made of jelly candy. Plus points are also given for decorating the inside of the house. A wonderful Northern house where Santa and the elves can relax with ice baths and ax throwing."
The Great SLU House Umeå Bakeoff
The aim of the competition "The entire SLU building Umeå bakes" is to bake a gingerbread house, or a work of art, or any other creation made of gingerbread – which is then exhibited in stands during a voting week. The winning entry is selected partly through voting and partly with the help of an "expert jury".
