News from Head of Department, week 50

Published: 16 December 2019

Happy 3rd Advent, KV!

Another great week has passed, and, again, not without a reason to be proud and happy as head of KV! The employees are KV's primary resource! This week we should be extra proud of Elin Svonni, who was honored with the DSS students' educational award, Ann-Sofi Bergqvist who has been awarded a three-year grant for ecological field research by SLU Ekoforsk and Denise Laskowski, who will be awarded KSLA's award for best academic dissertation.
Congratulations to all three of you!

I have the following greetings from the administration:

The administration has limited staffing over the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Monday, December 23 - limited staffing

Friday, December 27 - no manning

Avoid making orders in Proceedo during Christmas and New Year as there is probably no one in place to handle your order.

Before going on well-deserved leave, log in to Proceedo to handle any. invoices or delivery receipt purchases.

I have previously asked you to register this year's publications in SLUpub, which I hope you will do. I would like to draw your attention to registering conference papers and posters as well in order for KV's publication statistics to be competitive at the faculty and the university level.

During the week I negotiated the change of organization at KV with the labour unions and finally made the decision that will come into force on the 1st of January 2020.

Next week I will be on site Wednesday through Friday.

Now I wish you all a pleasant weekend!

Nils
