SLU is hosting a series of meetings on 3-7 September with colleagues from Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM), Mozambique, jointly with Uppsala University (UU).
The meetings are organized within the project “Quality assurance of research and post-graduate training” (QuART) financed by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) as a part of the UEM-Sweden bilateral programme 2017-2022.
QuART is of key importance for all the UEM-Sweden programme since it aims at building institutional capacity to ensure UEM’s quality of training and research. SLU and UU will support UEM to develop the training of pedagogic staff and teachers but also of leadership skills, the reviewing of UEM’s quality assurance assessment guidelines, the development of guidelines for joint and double degrees at UEM, and will finally support establishing mechanisms to increase external funding.
SLU Global coordinates SLU's work in this programme where several central divisions and units are working together to maximize the outputs. Besides SLU Global, the Division of Educational Affairs has a major role, and also the Leadership Development Unit, the Division of Planning and Grants Office.
