SLU has entered into an agreement with Sunet about the learning platform Canvas. Anyone interested, in particular those giving new courses, are invited to start using Canvas already the next semester, autumn 2018.
The Canvas Project will help you get started and will be available for support throughout the course. Don't miss this opportunity to be among the first to use this new tool and show that your course is at the forefront!

- Canvas has been procured nationally together with 15 other higher education institutions.
- Canvas facilitates efficient teaching and learning methods and offers teachers and students modern tools for interaction and communication.
- Canvas is an open system and is easily integrated with other systems/products.
Ordering a Canvas room
You order Canvas rooms from IT Support, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Explain that you need a Canvas room and make sure you provide the following information:
- Course code
- Application code
- Course title
- Administration access rights (teachers etc.)
You can find this information by searching for the course.
Once you have ordered a room, you will be given access to Canvas, including manuals. You can also contact the Canvas Project for support.
Before the autumn semester starts, IT Support will give the students taking your course access to the Canvas room.
As the changeover to Canvas progresses, Fronter will be phased out. During a transitional period, both systems will be available.
