NJ faculty January 2018
The following people have been made group deputies on the academic appointments board during the period 1/1/2018–30/06/2019:

Anke Herrman from the Department of Soil and Environment and Tomas Roslin from the Department of Ecology have been appointed members of the doctoral education committee from 1 January 2018 to 31 March 2019 at the longest. Jesper Larsson has been appointed deputy during the same period. Members of all NJ boards, committees and councils (in Swedish).
The faculty board has made Professor Jana Pickova head of subject for food science, specialising in studying bio-active substances in food as of 1 January 2018. The current head of subject, Lena Dimberg, will retire in 2018. Subject ubject areas and those responsible for them at the NJ Faculty.
Two visiting professors have been appointed at the Department of Aquatic Sciences and Assessment: Chris Evans will work 10 per cent in the subject of biogeochemistry for three years and Jan Siebert will work 10 per cent in the subject field of environmental assessment, specialising in hydrology, for two years (the time period may be extended). Their employment is on the condition that Kevin Bishop remains Pro Vice-Chancellor of Environmental Monitoring and Assessment during this time.
For a period of three years, starting 1 November 2017, the following were appointed members of the steering group for Lövsta Field Research Station:

Tomas Roslin from the Department of Ecology has been appointed chair of the steering group for the Centre for Biological Control (CBC) from 1 January 2018 to 31 March 2019 at the longest. Johanna Boberg from the Department of Forest Mycology and Plant Pathology has been appointed member during the same period.
Ingvar Sundh from the Department of Molecular Sciences has been made manager of CBC as of 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2019 at the longest. Mattias Jonsson from the Department of Ecology has been made acting manager during the same period.
Henrik Hansson from the Department of Molecular Sciences has been tasked with coordinating SLU's involvement with the Max IV Laboratory from 20 November 2017 to 31 December 2020 at the longest.
Lars Sonesten from the Department of Aquatic Sciences has been appointed the NJ Faculty's member of the steering group for the Data Curation Unit (DCU) from 1 November 2017 to 31 December at the longest.
