Redempta Athanas Kajungiro
Redempta is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Animal Breeding and Genetics at the Swedish University of Agricultural sciences (SLU). Her MSc research focused on molecular cloning of two Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha (TNFα) Genes in Crucian Carp (Carassius carassius) and study their expression Patterns before and after bacterial infection (Aeromonas hydrophila). Her currently PhD project focus on exploring genetic diversity and genetic parameters of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) strains as a baseline for the establishment of Tilapia Breeding program in Tanzania. She is interested in Aquaculture Genomics, Genetics and Breeding.
