Presentation
Hello! I am a doctoral student at the department of forest economics. I am from Germany, and my background is in agricultural economcis, especially in resource and environmental economics.
Research
In my PhD project, I collaborate with a fantastic team to study forest degradation in Misiones, Argentina. We explore how various social processes drive those ecosystem alterations and examine the effectiveness of conservation policies, particularly REDD+ measures, in preventing such changes and reducing carbon emissions. My research focuses on the spatial, temporal, and behavioral dimensions of forest degradation, aiming to uncover key drivers and mechanisms to inform more effective conservation strategies.
