Lunch Seminar - The science of effective learning: The benefits of retrieval practice and spacing

This talk will summarize a number of principles from research, that enhance student learning, focusing on the principles of retrieval practice—how recalling information from memory strengthens learning of that information—and spacing—how the scheduling of learning activities that are distributed in time benefits long-term learning. Furthermore, advise will be shared to teachers on various ways to implement retrieval and spacing to enhance learning.
