Would you be interested in meeting curious students or others and telling them about what you do during the day and what inspired you to become a researcher? The event "Borrow a researcher" will be held from April 7-11, where mainly school classes will have the opportunity to interact with researchers.

The event aims to spark curiosity among students and others, and provides you with an opportunity to share your research and how it contributes to society. As a researcher, you visit school classes, non-profit organizations or businesses and discuss your research or what it is like to work as a researcher.

You choose where and when you can participate, on site or digitally. The arrangement is formed together with the person who books the session. For schools, the visits typically focus on the researcher as a person and their journey towards the profession. Visits to workplaces are rather about the research topic. The visits are usually very appreciated. In 2024, there were 250 researcher loans. There will be another opportunity in September 2025.

All researchers, including doctoral students, are welcome to participate. It is good that the participants are at different stages in their careers.

Registration is not binding, you can decline requests. The event is part of Researchers' Night and is organized by Public & Science Sweden. You can find more information about Borrowing a researcher on their website, you will find the link further down the page.
