Great interest from SLU for in-congress excursions

Several of SLU:s departments have responded to last month’s Call of Excursions.
The aim is to receive suggestions for sites and scientific topics for the excursions. The excursions will take place around Mälardalen for one day in the middle of congress week.
- It has been a good response, not least from the departments at SLU, but also from The Forestry Research Institute, The Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry, and The Hunters association. We would like to convey as broad coverage of Swedish forest cutting-edge research as possible during the excursion day, says Raymond Wide, Coordinator for the excursions during IUFRO World Congress 2024.
The IUFRO secretariat will give feedback to the incoming Calls during March. There is a need for more topics that will reflect the congress themes, see https://iufro2024.com/iufro-world-congress-2024/themes/
Emphasis will be given to climate, digitisation, technique and innovation, but other suggestions are most welcome.
