More about new telecommunications service provider

The project is moving forward with the transition to the new telecom operator Telenor on December 5th. Please also read the previous news post at this link.

Here is some additional information:

• All mobile broadband, i.e. external devices for surfing that are not your phone, will be shut down and new ones will need to be ordered. (This is not about mobile data in your phone, it will work just like normal).
  The same applies to data SIM/twin cards and e-SIM. If you need such subscriptions after December 5, you must come in with a new order to support@slu.se as soon as possible.
  
  It is important that this is done as there are many subscriptions that are not used and only cost SLU money.
  
  
• Regarding subscriptions that are in other types of devices that must remain at Telia because the SIM card cannot be changed now, for example because they are on a tracking transmitter on a moose: send a case about this as soon as possible to support@slu.se. There have been very few cases regarding this, even though there are many units out there where this should be relevant.
  
  
• The new agreement with Telenor provides the opportunity for so-called national roaming. With this functionality, you can use all mobile networks in Sweden at a higher cost of SEK 69/month plus a one-time setup fee per subscription. This service is mainly for those who are out in the field a lot. Those who need national roaming must submit an order for this by institution. Contact your manager for more information.
   
• In order to manage the transition administratively, it will not be possible to open new Office extensions and standalone subscriptions between October 19 and December 5. It is also not possible to make changes to existing subscriptions or transfer mobile subscriptions.
