The 2021 salary review is ongoing according to plan, meaning the new salaries are expected to be paid out in December. The preparatory phase has seen positive discussions with the employee organisations and joint analyses, a salary survey and recurring dialogues.
Following collaboration with the employee organisations, SLU has formulated a target for the work with salary-setting. SLU is one of the leading universities in its field, and strives to attract cutting-edge skills and the best talent. In order to meet the targets and follow the strategies, SLU needs to use various methods to create the right conditions, for example, positive research environments, good infrastructure and excellent conditions, and salaries are just one way of doing this. SLU has now begun the work necessary for attaining these goals, and the 2021 salary review will prioritise researchers and teaching staff to lift SLU to the same level as comparable Swedish universities.
The new salary applies retroactively from 1 October 2021.
