About slaughter of fish and the welfare in the water

Published: 10 July 2019

Sweden is often presented as a leading country in animal welfare, but there is no regulatory framework for how farmed fish should be slaughtered - and the carbon dioxide method that is most used in Sweden today does not work well. The researchers also have new recommendations for decision makers.
